I am 13 years old ,

i know how to skate, i can go fast witout falling, i can spin and i can stop. I have not had really formal lessons or anything, but i dont wanna be with little kids... is there a beggeiner teens or something like that ?

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP :)

P.S

i live in Greater Toronto Area :)|||Your rink probably offers a CanSkate group lesson program.

If you can already skate well, you won't be in the lower levels - ask the school to evaluate you before the first day so you know what level to register for in classes.

If there are five or more teens at the same level, the school will make a group.

That's also what happens at competitions - there are open competitions for skaters of all different levels and ages; they group them together for events so everyone's got a fair chance.

Don't worry about being with little kids - you'll outpace them soon enough.

There are a lot of rinks in the greater Toronto area, so you'll have to check them out to see which one is near your home and offers lessons at the right times for you.

Good luck.|||thats great! i used to love figure skating but i had to quit....sigh. anyways, i think you sound about gamma level. The levels go in this order: alpha, beta, gamma, delta, freestyle1, 2, 3, and 4%26amp;up. i only got to freestyle 2 and then stopped, so i never competed. you can check at your local ice rinks for rates and classes. the ice skating gear (dresses, special tights, pants, etc.) add up and can become pretty costly. once you start getting up there level-wise, the skates can run well over 200 dollars. beginning skates would be maybe 100 dollars and less, depending on the brand. classes are usually once a week, but you should practice as much as you can and stretch everyday (skating requires alot of flexibility). If you want to skate for competition, you'll probably need private lessons and more than one class in addition to the original class. good luck!|||Canada has rinks everywhere! The programs really depend on the rink, so visit some rinks and ask around about there programs, and competitions, they will have the best answers for you! If you decide to be more serious, then it can be expensive, a coach usually costs 60 dollars an hour atleast(usually I have about five 45 minute lessons a week--but I have been skating for years, and am very competitive) The high level custom skates and blades can cost over 1000 $ and custom dresses can cost ALOT. But, you may not need those, and your skates will start out cheaper Good luck, and have a great time skating, its awsome! By the way, good for you for starting something, that is hard to do!
