If something is added to a jump in figure skating, is it considered wrong?

Sorry if this doesn't make sense to you, but if a figure skater were to add something - something that no one has ever seen before - to a figure skating jump during a competition (let's say their arm was in a different place or positioned in a different way or something to make it look cooler), would it be considered wrong? Like would it "void" the whole jump? Or would you earn brownie points for creativity :)

I've always wondered that.

Thanks in advance!|||No it would not void the jump as long as it is still executed correctly.

That is landed cleanly, taken off on the correct edge and with the correct no.

of rotations.

and yes you could earn brownie points for creativity. If you make up a whole

new move e.g a spin never done before, you could even get it named after you!

Happy Skating xx|||Not at all(: If anything it could get you more points. Like a lot of the time, when I'm doing any double or triple I'll put one arm in the normal air position and another arm up in the air, in kind of a ballet position, to make it look a little different, and the difficulty level goes up(:|||Nope, as long as they landed the jump, took off from the correct edge, made the rotation, etc. it wouldn't be considered wrong. In fact, they might even get points added for added difficulty (and creativity :))

^^ The 3rd jump in Kim Yuna's combination at 0:58 has different arm movements (one arm in the air).

And this girl does different arm positions in her first axel.

I think variations on jumps look really pretty =]|||I don't think so. I saw a more advanced skater at my rink the other day doing arm movements with her jumps that I have never seen before.
